Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health seeks a Part-time Patient Care Technician at Evanston Hospital. The role supports RNs in delivering direct patient care, performing vital signs, and assisting with daily activities. This position includes rotating day/evening shifts and weekend coverage as needed.

Ideal candidates have CNA training or nursing rotation experience and current BLS certification. Eligibility to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with patient care and comfort.
• Take/record vital signs and perform basic assessments.
• Conduct 12-lead EKG, bladder ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal as needed.
• Assist with daily activities, bathing, mobility, and feeding.
• Support discharge planning and patient room readiness.
• Participate in safety and quality improvement activities.
