Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Evanston Hospital night shift (11:00 pm – 7:30 am) with rotating weekends. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse to deliver patient care and support the care team.

Responsibilities include vital signs, 12-Lead EKG, Foley catheter care, specimen collection, bathing, turning, hourly rounding, glucose checks, and assisting with admissions and discharge. CNAs with hospital experience and BLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in patient care and basic nursing tasks is preferred.
• CNAs with hospital experience are desirable.
• Customer service background is beneficial for bedside care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care under RN supervision.
• Assist with vital signs, EKGs, Foley catheter care and IV removal.
• Support patient bathing, feeding, turning and hourly rounding.
• Prepare patients for discharge and assist with care plans.
• Contribute to safe, high-quality patient experience.
