Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the interdisciplinary health care team. Under RN supervision, you will provide direct and indirect care to a variety of patients, promoting comfort, safety and patient satisfaction.

You will collaborate with nurses and care team, participate in care planning from admission to discharge, and engage in performance improvement activities while pursuing relevant education and apprenticeship opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of CNA/MA/PCT program or nursing fundamentals program or HMH PCT Apprenticeship or equivalent medical background.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, maintain accountability, and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on age-related criteria and care plans.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues.
• Contribute to the interdisciplinary care plan from admission to discharge.
• Participate in Unit/Department PI activities.
• Support patient, unit and environment-related tasks.
