Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a recognized PCT/CNA/MA or nursing fundamentals program is required.
• HMH PCT Apprenticeship or equivalent program is acceptable; candidates may enter the Apprentice track.
• EMT, Home Health Aide, CMA, MA, PCT or related medical background may qualify.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on age-appropriate criteria and education, safety, and related needs.
• Ensure safe and effective patient outcomes through clinical judgment and action.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients, nursing staff, and other health-care team members.
• Act proactively to improve performance and seize opportunities in patient care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration from admission to discharge.
• Engage in Unit/Department PI activities.
