DaVita is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide compassionate care in an outpatient dialysis setting. You will make a significant difference in the lives of patients with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. If you are passionate about delivering empathetic care, this is a rewarding opportunity.

Joining DaVita as a PCT offers extensive paid training to develop your skills and build a professional network across multiple clinics. After training, you will work alongside a team of healthcare professionals including nurses, dietitians, social workers, and fellow PCTs. This role is more than a job—it's a career dedicated to giving life.

Our mission is to provide exceptional service to patients, partners, and teammates, aiming to be the Provider, Partner, and Employer of Choice. We offer clear career advancement paths through our Clinical Ladders program, and tuition assistance via the Bridge to your Dreams program for those aspiring to become RNs or pursue other healthcare roles. Your growth depends on your performance and motivation.

Position Details:

  • No prior dialysis experience required.
  • Training may occur at a different facility or clinic from your assigned location.
  • Potential to work across various clinics during and after training.
  • Flexible schedule required, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

What to Expect:

  • Provide direct, one-on-one patient care during dialysis treatments, ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after treatments, recording vital stats and machine setup. Note: Exposure to blood and needles is involved.
  • Build long-term relationships with patients undergoing frequent treatments and educate them on dialysis-related topics.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team under RN supervision, including technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers, and leadership.

Benefits:

  • Comprehensive benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, paid time off, and PTO cash out.
  • Support services for you and your family, including counseling, Headspace access, backup care, parental leave, pet insurance, and more.
  • Paid training to prepare you for success.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Desire to care for others in a healthcare setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Comfort working around blood and needles.
  • Ability to handle acid or bicarb mixing.
  • Physical and mental stamina for long shifts (some 12+ hours).
  • Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory.
  • Healthcare certifications like BONENT, CHT, CNA, CMA, or Phlebotomy are a plus.

We are committed to clinical excellence and continuous improvement. Join us in making a difference in patient health through quality care and setting high standards.
