Job summary

Ascension in Owasso, OK is hiring for a full-time night shift position in the Medsurg department. You will perform basic patient care under supervision, assist with movement and daily living activities, and report changes to nursing staff on a pro‑rated night schedule.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent or one year of relevant experience, with a BLS certification due within 30 days of hire. CNA/PCT training is preferred and EMR experience is a plus.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

What Additional Preferences We're Seeking

• 6:30PM-7AM, self-scheduling with weekend requirements.
• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Patient Care Technician (PCT), or equivalent healthcare training program preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required or obtained within the timeframe established by Ascension.
• One year of patient care experience in an acute care hospital, long-term care, rehabilitation, or similar healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), obtaining vital signs, patient mobility, and documenting care preferred. Previous experience using an electronic medical record (EMR) system is a plus
