Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent's Southside Hospital in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a dedicated team member for the Night shift, full-time.

In this role you will deliver essential clinical and non-clinical support to patients under the nursing team, helping ensure comfort and safety. You’ll assist with movement, daily activities, monitor changes, document patient records, and maintain a clean, stocked environment to support seamless care operations.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date; acceptable by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable job-specific experience required; licensure/certification may substitute as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver essential clinical and non-clinical support to patients under nursing guidance.
• Safely assist patients with movement, positioning, and transfers.
• Assist with personal care and daily activities to maintain dignity and quality of life.
• Monitor and report changes to nursing staff; observe as eyes and ears for the care team.
• Maintain accurate patient records and keep a clean, stocked environment.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
