Job summary

Highpoint Health- Sumner, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for full-time night shifts to support patient care. You will assist with activities of daily living, provide direct care, monitor patient conditions, and report changes to the nursing staff, including helping with POC tests and EKGs.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS within 30 days, and CNA/EMT experience preferred. CNA license may be considered without a diploma.

• CNA license preferred; can be considered without diploma.
• BLS within 30 days of hire.
• 1 year CNA or EMT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with activities of daily living.
• Providing or assisting with direct patient care.
• Observing and recording patient behavior and activities.
• Reporting changes in condition to nursing staff and suggesting plan modifications.
• Assisting with POC testing and EKGs as needed.

How You'll Contribute

• Assisting patients with performing activities of daily living
• Providing or assisting with providing direct patient care
• Observing and recording patient behavior and activities
• Reporting any changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition to nursing staff and suggesting modifications to treatment plans
• Assisting with POC testing and EKGs as needed

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• State of TN CNA license preferred, can be considered without high school diploma or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire
• 1 year certified nurse tech or EMT experience preferred
