Job summary

Highpoint Health- Sumner, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Patient Care Technician to deliver compassionate patient support in a full-time day schedule. The PCT will assist with activities of daily living, aid direct patient care, observe changes and report to nursing staff, and help with POC testing and EKGs as needed.

Qualified candidates typically hold a high school diploma or equivalent, TN CNA license preferred, BLS within 30 days, and 1 year CNA/EMT experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• State TN CNA license preferred, can be considered without high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.
• 1 year certified nurse tech or EMT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with performing activities of daily living.
• Providing or assisting with providing direct patient care.
• Observing and recording patient behavior and activities.
• Reporting any changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition to nursing staff and suggesting modifications to treatment plans.
• Assisting with POC testing and EKGs as needed.
