Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the Unity Nursing Float Pool in Fridley, MN. You will provide basic direct and indirect patient care under supervision, including taking vital signs, assisting with daily living activities, and helping with transfers and documentation.

Position is 0.70 FTE (56 hours per two weeks), on-day/evening shifts, every other weekend. Requires CNA/Nursing Assistant pathway or equivalent clinical experience, with BLS required by one of several

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the following requirements: 18 years of age or 17 with HS diploma/GED.
• Must have completed one of: CNA program, nursing assistant academy, clinical rotations, NREMT or prior direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Observe, collect and document health data as assigned.
• Take and document vital signs and assist with activities of daily living.
• Assist with patient transfers, ambulation and positioning.
• Document per guidelines and communicate observations to RN/physician.
• Support with patient registration, orders and basic clerical tasks.
