Job summary
Allina Health in Buffalo, MN is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our care team in Same Day Surgery, Medical/Surgical Unit, and Birth Center. You will provide essential patient care, monitor vital signs, assist with daily living activities, and support nursing staff under direct supervision.
This 0.75 FTE role (60 hours per two-week pay period) offers a mix of day/evening/night shifts with every 3rd weekend rotation.
Qualifications
- Must meet one of the following: 18 years of age or 17 years with HS diploma or GED.
- Completion of one semester of clinical rotations with an accredited nursing program OR CNA program OR Allina Health Nursing Assistant Academy OR NREMT certification upon hire OR previous direct patient care experience.
Responsibilities
- Observe, collect and document health data as assigned.
- Provide ADL assistance and patient transfers under RN direction.
- Perform clerical duties and accurate physician order processing.
- Transport medications and ensure accurate billing documentation.
- Maintain safety and handle equipment per policies.
