Freeman Health seeks a dedicated unit secretary/Patient Care Assistant to support nursing staff on the hospital floors. You may function as a PCA and/or unit secretary, coordinating clerical tasks and ensuring smooth communication among patients, departments, physicians, and families.

Completion of clerical or medical terminology coursework or a PCA/CNA certificate is preferred; RN students with nursing fundamentals coursework may qualify.

Qualifications

• Completion of clerical or medical terminology course.
• PCA or CNA course completion certificate.
• Or currently enrolled in an RN degree program and have completed a fundamentals of nursing curriculum.

Responsabilités

• May function in patient care assistant and/or unit secretary role.
• Provides support to the nursing staff and patient care through the direction and guidance of licensed staff and leaders.
• Coordinates clerical activities for the unit/staff in coordination with patients, hospital departments, physicians and other customers.
• The unit secretary is the focal point of communication on the nursing unit.
