Freeman Health System is seeking a capable Unit Secretary/Patient Care Assistant to support nursing staff and coordinate unit clerical tasks. You will act as the communication hub on the nursing unit, ensuring smooth flow between patients, departments, physicians and other customers.

This full-time role requires completing clerical or medical terminology coursework or earning PCA/CNA certification, or currently being enrolled in an RN program with fundamentals completed.

Qualifications

• Completion of clerical or medical terminology course.
• PCA or CNA course completion certificate.
• RN degree program with fundamentals of nursing curriculum completed.

Responsabilités

• Support nursing staff and patient care under supervision of licensed staff.
• Coordinate clerical activities for the unit in collaboration with hospital departments and physicians.
• Serve as the focal point of communication on the nursing unit.
