Freeman Health System is seeking a PRN unit secretary who may also function as a Patient Care Assistant or unit secretary as needed. You will support nursing staff and patients under licensed staff direction and coordinate unit clerical tasks and communications across patients, departments and physicians.

The role emphasizes strong communication and organizational skills while assisting with clerical duties in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Clerical and/or medical terminology coursework completed or in progress.
• CNA/PCA certification or RN fundamentals coursework completed.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff and patient care under supervision.
