Freeman Health System in Springdale, AR seeks a flexible unit secretary/Patient Care Assistant to support nursing staff and coordinate unit communications. You may function in either role as needed, handling clerical tasks and serving as the central point of contact on the nursing unit.

Preferred candidates have a clerical or medical terminology background (PCA/CNA certificates) or are RN students who have completed fundamentals of nursing.

Qualifications

• Completion of clerical or medical terminology course.
• PCA or CNA course completion certificate.
• RN degree student with fundamentals of nursing curriculum completed.

Responsibilities

• Function in patient care assistant and/or unit secretary role.
• Support nursing staff and patient care under supervision of licensed staff and leaders.
• Coordinate clerical activities for the unit in coordination with patients, departments, physicians and other customers.
