Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Amarillo, TX is seeking a night-shift, part-time Medical-Surgical 4C Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our team.

As a PCT, you will provide basic patient care under supervision, assist with ADLs, monitor patient status, and support nursing staff with routine tasks in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must have completed some high school education.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Preferred: High School Diploma or GED Equivalency.
• Preferred: Completion of High School PCT competencies.
• Preferred: Certification as a PCT or CNA.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care under nursing supervision.
• Assists patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observed patients' progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered nurses.
• Obtains and records patients' vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests.
