Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Tulsa, OK seeks a part-time, day shift Medical Surgical Patient Care Technician (PCT). Responsibilities include assisting patients with daily activities, recording vitals, drawing blood, and providing transport and basic care under supervision.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and BLS certification within 14 days of hire. Prior CNA/PCT experience and phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating).
• Observes patients’ progress and reports to RN or medical staff.
• Obtains and records vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests.
• Provides basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
• Measures intake/output and assists with ROM; draws blood.

Responsibilities

• Works under moderate supervision of nursing and medical staff to perform all duties of a PCT I, which include assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observes patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered Nurse or other medical staff.
• Obtains and records patients' vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests.
• Provides basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
• Measures and records patients' intake and output and other measurements in accordance with unit routines, assists patients with range of motion, and draws blood.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Completion of approved CNA, PCT or paramedic certification or currently enrolled in nursing school.
• Two (2) years of experience in acute or long-term care.
• Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy.
