Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have completed some high school education.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Preferred: High School Diploma or GED Equivalency.
• Certification as a PCT (Certified Care Technician) or CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care under nursing supervision.
• Assists patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating.
• Observes patients’ progress and prepares reports for Registered nurses.
• Obtains and records patients' vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests.
