Job summary

The BSA Hospital in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Day Shift, full-time Day Surgery-OR Patient Care Technician (PCT). You will provide essential patient care under nursing supervision, assist with ADLs, and help the surgical team during day procedures.

Ideal candidates have completed some high school, will obtain BLS within 14 days of hire, and may pursue PCT or CNA credentials. This role supports compassionate, patient-centered care in a Christian-loving environment.

Qualifications

• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Works in an entry-level position providing basic patient care under nursing supervision.
• Assists patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observes patients' progress to prepare and disseminate reports to the Nurse.
• Obtains and records patients' vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests.
