Job summary

Lovelace Health System is seeking a full-time Intermediate Care Cardiac Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. In this role, you will provide essential patient care under the guidance of nursing and medical staff, assisting with daily activities such as bathing and dressing.

Ideal candidates will hold a High School Diploma or GED and will need to complete BLS certification within 14 days of starting. Preferably, you have experience in acute or long-term care and are working towards CNA or PCT certification. Join us to make healthcare better!

Qualifications

Learn About a Day in the Life of a PCT

Responsibilities

• Work in an entry‑level position providing basic patient care under the direction of nursing and medical staff.
• Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observe patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to the Registered Nurse or other medical staff.
• Obtain and record patients’ vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests.
• Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements

• 1 year of experience in acute or long‑term care.
• Working towards approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic (EMT‑P) certification.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
