Ascension’s Med Surg team in Mequon, WI is seeking a Nurse Aide for day shift, part-time. You’ll assist with daily living activities, support patient mobility, document care, and help maintain a safe, clean environment to ensure high-quality patient experiences.

Required BLS within 30 days and Wisconsin Nurse Aide Certification. High school diploma or equivalent required; CNA licensure is preferred. The role offers a supportive team, growth opportunities, and a values-driven workplace.

• Nurse Aide credentialed from the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, direct patient care and assist with daily living activities to enhance patient comfort, dignity, and overall well-being.
• Support safe patient mobility and transitions, assisting with admission, transfer, and discharge processes to ensure a seamless care experience.
• Communicate key observations and changes in physical or emotional condition promptly to the nursing team to facilitate timely clinical interventions.
• Document patient care activities accurately and thoroughly to support the care team and maintain reliable records.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe patient environment while keeping medical equipment and supplies ready for immediate clinical use.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Aide credentialed from the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Certified Nursing Assistant credentialed from the state of Wisconsin, and in Nurse Aide Registry with eligibility to work in a hospital setting obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Additional certs may be required by specific job locations.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
