Virtua Health in New Jersey is seeking a Per Diem Patient Care Technician to assist patients with activities of daily living under RN/LPN supervision, supporting mobility, hygiene, feeding and comfort while upholding safety standards.

Responsibilities include vital signs, phlebotomy and EKGs if certified, reinforcing patient education, contributing to patient satisfaction initiatives, and aiding in orientation of new hires.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a PCT course or CNA-related program, or one year of direct patient care.

Aufgaben

• Assists with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting/hygiene, and assisting with mobility and transport.
• Performs vital signs, point of care testing, bladder scanning, and Foley care; may perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified; communicates changes in patient status to RN/LPN.
• Reinforces education of patient and family regarding care needs and safety issues.
• Participates in Virtua patient satisfaction initiatives and goals.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
• Assists in orientation of new hires.
