Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Patient Care Associate to provide direct patient care on an inpatient unit, assist with non-direct patient care coordination, and support RNs in caring for acutely ill and stable patients. You will perform basic nursing procedures, document in the electronic medical record.

The role emphasizes infection control, patient dignity, medical asepsis, timely rounds, admissions, discharges and transfers, and adherence to hospital policies.

Formación

• Minimum High School/GED.
• Experience as a PCA, PCT, NA, LPN, EMT, or equivalent.
• 1 year in an acute or long-term care facility or enrolled in nursing program.
• Basic computer skills and documentation in EMR.

Responsabilidades

• Provides and documents direct patient care, vital signs, and I&O.
• Assists with admissions, discharges, and transfers on the inpatient unit.
• Supports quality and safety initiatives and rounds.
• Maintains patient environment and adheres to hospital policies.
