Memorial Hermann seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) II to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will monitor vital signs, assist with hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and charting, and ensure patient safety.

Applicants should have at least one year of prior patient care experience in an acute care setting and be certified in Basic Life Support within 90 days of employment. Compliance with policies and ongoing education are required.

Qualifications

• One year of prior patient care experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Proficiency in Core Competencies of the PCT I and II position as noted by Memorial Hermann.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Perform vital signs pre/post treatment and monitor patient condition.
• Assist with activities of daily living and hygiene support.
• Document information accurately and report changes to the nurse.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Assist in obtaining and preparing laboratory specimens as prescribed.
