BHMC-Conway is seeking a Patient Care Tech I for Med Surg. The role supports patient and family with basic care, monitoring, hygiene, and care completion as a vital member of the care team.

This position requires the ability to work day shifts 6:30am-7:00pm, with compassionate communication and collaboration across departments. CPR and related training are provided during onboarding.

Qualifications

• 12 college level credit hours that include a passing grade in English Composition with a C or higher and an overall GPA of 2.0 or greater (transcripts will be verified upon application).
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
• Service industry experience preferred but not required.
• CPR, Skills training, Crucial Conversations, and Hospitality in Healthcare will be provided during education.

Summary:The primary function of the PCT is to assist the patient and family with basic patient care, monitoring, hygiene, and to help ensure care is complete. The PCT works as an essential part of the patient care team. As the member who spends most of their time in the presence of the patient, compassion, caring, and excellent human interaction skills are necessary along with excellent communication skills both to and from the patient and family, and to and from the rest of the healthcare team.
