Job summary

Baptist Health in Little Rock, AR is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support patients and families with basic care, monitoring, and hygiene. You will join the patient care team as the primary presence with patients, delivering compassionate, clear communication to patients, families, and teammates on a night shift.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, documenting observations, and participating in ongoing education such as CPR and Crucial Conversations.

Qualifications

• 12 college credit hours including English Composition with a C or higher and GPA 2.0+ (transcripts verified).
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
• Service industry experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
• Good organization skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn and apply new healthcare related skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the health care team and patients.
• Ability to collaborate with the health care team consistently.

Job description

Summary

The primary function of the PCT is to assist the patient and family with basic patient care, monitoring, hygiene, and to help ensure care is complete. The PCT works as an essential part of the patient care team. As the member who spends most of their time in the presence of the patient, compassion, caring, and excellent human interaction skills are necessary along with excellent communication skills both to and from the patient and family, and to and from the rest of the healthcare team.
