Job summary

Baptist Health in Little Rock, AR is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist patients and families with basic care, monitoring, and hygiene. The PCT will be in close contact with the patient and healthcare team to ensure comprehensive, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• 12 college level credit hours that include a passing grade in English Composition with a C or higher and an overall GPA of 2.0 or greater.
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
• Service industry experience preferred but not required.

Job description

Summary

The primary function of the PCT is to assist the patient and family with basic patient care, monitoring, hygiene, and to help ensure care is complete. The PCT works as an essential part of the patient care team. As the member who spends most of their time in the presence of the patient, compassion, caring, and excellent human interaction skills are necessary along with excellent communication skills both to and from the patient and family, and to and from the rest of the healthcare team.
