Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited CNA program.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical/patient care under RN or physician supervision.
• Collects, labels and transports specimens as assigned.
• Obtains 12-lead EKGs as part of routine monitoring.
• Discontinues Saline Locks and Indwelling Urinary Catheters as directed.
• Assists patients with personal hygiene and nutritional needs.
• Performs hourly patient rounding in collaboration with the RN.
• Obtains and documents patient care data as directed by the RN.
• Assists with ambulation and positioning per care plan.
• Responds to patient call lights promptly and professionally.
• Maintains a safe clinical environment for patients, family and staff.
