Baptist Health in Paducah, KY seeks a Patient Care Tech for the ER on the second shift. This full-time role involves assisting with patient care, ensuring safety and cleanliness, and supporting RN supervision. The position includes duties across phlebotomy, ECGs, and routine tasks, with a focus on pediatric and geriatric needs.

The technician will work 11am–11pm, 36 hours weekly, and participate in EMR documentation, equipment setup, and patient transport coordination as part of unit operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain Basic Life Support within 3 months of hire.
• Preferred: completion of an approved Aide Training Program.
• Preferred: phlebotomy/POCT experience.
• Preferred: 1 year of healthcare experience providing patient care.

Patient Care Tech - ER Full Time, Second Shift , 36 hours weekly 11-am -11pm Provides general nursing care assistance to patients, with consideration for the unique needs of pediatric and geriatric populations as appropriate. Assists in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment. Patient Care Technicians perform duties under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse, and in addition performs general stocking duties as needed to support unit operations.

• Placement of appropriate monitoring equipment.
• Performs 12 Lead ECG.

Requirements

• Must obtain Basic Life Support within 3 months of hire

Preferred Requirements

• Successful completion of an Approved Aide Training Program is preferred
• Previous phlebotomy/point of care testing is preferred
• One year of previous experience in a healthcare setting providing patient care preferred
