Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support daily living activities for patients at Burlington Hospital. You will work under the supervision of registered nurses or LPNs, assisting with activities of daily living and helping the care team deliver compassionate, quality care.

The position is part-time and on-site, with day shifts and a flexible schedule. Requires a High School Diploma or GED and completion of a PCT/CNA course or RN fundamentals; BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge of basic patient care skills, procedures and standards.
• Must have strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene).
• Support mobility and safe patient transport.
• Perform vital signs, point of care testing, bladder scanning, Foley care as directed.
• May perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Communicate changes in patient status to RN/LPN.
• Contribute to patient education and safety.
