Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Care Tech to provide basic nursing support under an RN. The role emphasizes vital signs monitoring, daily living assistance, and keeping patient areas clean and organized.

Shifts are 32 hours per week, Monday through Friday 11:00AM - 7:30PM with rotating Saturdays every 6-7 weeks. A strong commitment to compassionate care and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA/CMA/EMT or nursing student (one semester of clinical) required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care activities under RN supervision.
• Monitor vital signs and document intake/output.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Maintain clean and orderly patient rooms and equipment.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to nursing staff.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

CNA/CMA/EMT or nursing student (1 semester)

AHA BLS certification

Graduate of accredited Nursing Assistant program

Graduate of Phlebotomy course
