Job summary
Tufts Medicine in Lowell, MA is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide professional and nonprofessional care under nursing supervision, following physician orders, and assisting with examinations, diagnostics, and vital signs. Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CNA certification or equivalent
- BLS certification
- EKG and Phlebotomy training (for Critical Care/ED)
- 1 year experience in health care or nursing services
Responsibilities
- Assists with examinations, procedures, tests and treatments learned in formal training.
- Assists patients with ADLs ensuring privacy and safety; responds to call lights; assists with ambulation and transfers.
- Provides hygienic care including linens, bed making, catheter care, and enema administration when appropriate.
- Documents and reconciles allergy and medication lists; prepares specimens for lab transport; updates EMR with results.
