Tufts Medicine in Lowell, MA, is seeking a Nursing Support professional to provide professional and nonprofessional nursing care services under physician orders in a busy hospital setting. This role focuses on basic patient care activities and supports the nursing staff without an RN or LPN license, following established procedures.

You will assist with ADLs, room preparation, safety, meal support, specimen collection, and coordinating transports.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsabilités

• Under the direction of a nurse, performs activities of daily living (ADLs) and patient care.
• Prepares patient rooms for admission and discharge, maintains a clean and safe environment.
• Prioritizes patient care according to nursing direction and discharge plan.
• Transports patient to procedures and discharge as directed.
• Cleans and operates equipment safely and correctly.
• Gathers and reports accurate patient data in a timely manner.
• Performs duties of a Patient Sitter and maintains continuous observation as outlined in guidelines.
