Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, CNA/CMA/EMT or nursing student with clinical experience and BLS certification. The role emphasizes teamwork, patient safety, and responsive communication within the unit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• CNA, CMA or EMT certification or nursing student with clinical completed
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities

• Performs basic nursing care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs and recording intake/output
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing grooming and eating
• Reports abnormal findings to nursing staff and supports keeping patient rooms clean and orderly
• Demonstrates flexibility and multi-tasking in a fast-paced unit
• Acts as liaison between patient care units and other departments
• Manages unit workflow with charge RN or assistant manager as needed

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Nursing students with one semester of clinical completed

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
