Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of experience required.
• BLS certification required through American Heart Association.
• Basic Dysrhythmia certification is required upon hire.
• Strong attentive and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain accurate and concise documentation.
• Frequent walking, standing, and lifting; can lift over 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to hospital policies and standards.
• Monitor patient needs and safety.
• Document observations for cardiac rhythm shifts.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and team members.
• Follows HIPAA compliance.
• Demonstrates knowledge of emergent situations and responds appropriately.
• Adheres to patient safety and monitors patient needs frequently.
• Prepares patient records, admissions, discharge, etc.
• Supports a conducive work environment.
• Observes cardiac monitors and documents rhythm shifts.
• Floats to other nursing departments as needed.

Location: Telemetry and Med/Surg at Taylor Regional Hospital, Kentucky

Schedule: Full Time position

What You’ll Do

• Adheres to hospital policies and standards
• Attends nursing station and performs clerical duties
• Participates in required education, competencies, and training requirements
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and other team members
• Follows HIPAA compliance
• Demonstrates knowledge of emergent situations and responds appropriately
• Adheres to patient safety and monitors patient needs frequently
• Prepares patient records, admissions, discharge, etc.
• Supports a conducive work environment
