Job summary

Taylor Regional Hospital in Kentucky is seeking an EMT/ER Technician to join the Ambulance Service team. This PRN role supports emergency services, patient monitoring, and discharge education while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Lifting requirements apply and candidates must be able to work varied shifts. Required are a KY EMT license and a valid driver’s license, with 1–2+ years of EMT/ER experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Valid KY EMT license and valid driver’s license are required
• 1–2+ years of EMT/ER experience preferred
• Annual KBEMS training required
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare, compile, and maintain accurate records
• Communicate vitals, comfort needs, and pain levels to hospital staff
• Respond to emergent situations efficiently
• Be knowledgeable about medical equipment and terminology
• Follow HIPAA compliance
• Assist with patient discharge education and resources
• Follow safety protocols for a safe, clean environment
• Represent the organization professionally and contribute to a positive culture
• Recognize emergency codes and interventions

Location: Taylor Regional Hospital, Kentucky

Schedule: PRN- Varied Shifts

What You’ll Do

• Ability to prepare, compile, and maintain accurate records.
• Communicates effectively to hospital staff regarding the patient’s vitals, comfort needs, and pain level
• Responds to emergent situation efficiently.
• Knowledgeable about medical equipment and medical terminology.
• Follows HIPAA compliance.
• Assists with communication and education of patient discharge to ensure the patient understands and has the needed resources available
• Follows all safety protocols to ensure a safe and clean work environment
• Represent the organization in a professional image and shows initiative to be part of a positive work environment.
• Recognizes emergency codes and appropriate interventions.

What We’re Looking For

• High school or equivalent
• Valid KY EMT license. Valid drivers license.
• 1-2+ experience preferred.
