Job summary

Taylor Regional Hospital in Kentucky is seeking a Clinical Applications Analyst to join the Information Technology Department. This full-time, on-site role requires participation in a rotating on-call schedule to provide after-hours support.

You will oversee preventive maintenance of clinical software, document and track issues, install new software, and serve as the day-to-day contact for Meditech applications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2+ years of healthcare IT experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic health records or clinical applications is a plus.
• Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Schedule preventive maintenance of clinical software systems.
• Document, track, and follow up on reported problems and change requests.
• Install new software and ensure proper operation.
• Maintain working knowledge of clinical software.
• Act as the on-site daily contact for Meditech applications specialists.
• Examine problems using software documentation to resolve issues.
• Assist in resolving issues in clinical modules and review enhancement requests.

Position: Clinical Applications Analyst

Location: Information Technology Department at Taylor Regional Hospital, Kentucky

Schedule: Full time

Required to participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide after hours support.

What You’ll Do

• Schedules preventive maintenance of software systems pertaining to clinical applications


• Documents, tracks, and follow-up up on all reported problems, enhancements, and system change request


• Perform installation of new software ensuring proper operations


• Maintain working knowledge of software


• Day to Day contact for Meditech applications specialist


• Use of software documentation to examine and resolve problems


• Identify and assist in the resolution of issues arising in clinical modules


• Review all custom programming and enhancement requests

What We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent, Associate Degree Preferred


• 1-2+ yrs of experience required.


• Experience working with healthcare information systems, electronic health records, or clinical applications preferred.
