Job summary

Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc is seeking a dedicated Support Helper I to assist hospital staff and support patient care in a clean, safe environment. You will help transport patients, deliver equipment and records, and maintain stock across the facility.

As part of Henry Ford Health, you will also perform housekeeping and clerical tasks while following department policies to ensure quality and safety in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift, move, and assist patients up to 60 pounds.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and work independently.
• Physical capability to perform essential duties, including bending, stooping, and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Assist in transporting, transferring, and moving patients safely and efficiently.
• Deliver equipment, specimens, patients, and records throughout the hospital.
• Maintain inventory in stock rooms, carts, and assigned areas.
• Perform housekeeping duties, including cleaning rooms, bathrooms, and halls.
• Support general maintenance and clerical tasks as directed.
• Ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures for quality and safety.
