Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care in Independence, Missouri, seeks a Medical Assistant to support intake, rooming, and patient education onsite. This role helps prepare patients for physician visits and ensures documentation of patient histories, medication/allergy checks, and accurate data entry.

The M.A. will coordinate with clinicians to streamline care, manage the EMR inbox, and follow up on labs and adherence, enabling doctors to focus on medical decisions.

Qualifications

• Infection prevention and OSHA standards.
• Computer literacy and EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Intake & clinical rooming including vitals, history, and screenings.
• Inbox & worklist management in EMR for messages, labs, meds follow-ups.
• Education & loop-back to ensure patient understanding and correct follow-through.
