Job summary

Clearway Pain Solutions seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care and handle EMR documentation. You will enter patient intake and provider orders, request records, record vitals, and support patient flow while maintaining a clean clinical environment and ensuring patient satisfaction.

You must have strong communication skills, multi-tasking ability, and a proactive, professional attitude. HIPAA/OSHA compliance and EMR experience are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office software (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including exceptional customer service.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with doctors, clinical staff, other co-workers and the public.
• Ability to work individually as well as within a team.
• Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
• Must respond with patience and understanding during stressful conditions related to patient health.
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize.
• Must demonstrate extreme attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Entering patient intake and provider orders into the EMR.
• Requesting medical records and ensuring chart completeness.
• Recording vital signs and medical history.
• Assisting patients with medical forms and patient flow.
• Maintaining clean and organized clinical areas.
• Adhering to HIPAA, Infection Control, and OSHA standards.
• Communicating with providers and relaying orders to patients.
• DME fitting and paperwork as applicable.
• Obtaining prior-authorizations for radiology and prescriptions as needed.
• Maintaining stock of medicines and supplies; handling lab and radiology records.
