Job summary

United Digestive is seeking a Patient Service Center associate in Atlanta, GA to support office staff, physicians, and management with clinical and clerical tasks focused on patient care. You will schedule procedures, manage patient inquiries, and ensure accurate patient information and documentation.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 2–3 years of specialty clinical experience, with preference for certified or registered Medical Assistants.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2–3 years of specialty clinical experience; gastroenterology experience preferred.
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Must be computer literate and able to operate healthcare system and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule patient appointments including endoscopy procedures.
  • Obtain results for lab or radiology procedures and communicate to physicians and patients as needed.
  • Prepare prescription refills for physician approval and enter pharmacy information.
  • Counsel patients and relatives with information about medical treatment or procedures.
  • Answer emails and voicemails and return patient calls promptly.
  • Support HIPAA compliance and confidentiality in all tasks.
  • Participate in staff meetings and marketing activities as directed by the Office Manager.
  • Cross-train and perform other PSC functions (phone triage, scheduling, documentation).
