Affinity Eye Care is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to manage front desk operations, patient flow, and schedule optimization. You will partner with the care team to ensure a smooth, patient-centered experience from check-in to check-out.

The role requires strong organization, clear communication, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will verify insurance, maintain EMR data, and support retention through recalls and follow-ups.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn practice management systems (EMR).
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong verbal and written communication with a patient-centered approach.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Ability to proactively identify issues and contribute to solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain patient and practice confidentiality.

Responsabilités

• Greet patients and serve as primary point of contact.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and manage email communications.
• Schedule appointments and optimize provider schedules.
• Confirm appointments and reminder processes to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and enter data in EMR.
• Communicate coverage and patient financial responsibility.
• Prepare charts and documentation before visits.
• Process charges, co-pays, and payments in EMR.
• Run reports to ensure charges are billed and up to date.
• Monitor daily patient flow and adjust schedules as needed.
• Communicate wait times and next steps to patients.
• Coordinate with clinical and optical teams for smooth transitions.
• Support retention via recalls and follow-ups.
