Qualifications

• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn EMR/practice management systems.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, customers, and vendors; act as primary contact for patient interactions.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and manage email communications promptly.
• Schedule appointments and optimize provider calendars; handle cancellations and reschedules.
• Send confirmations and reminders to reduce no-shows and prep patients for visits.
• Verify insurance eligibility and patient demographics; enter data into EMR accurately.
• Explain coverage, benefits, and patient financial responsibility clearly.
• Prepare patient charts and documents for visits to support flow.
• Record charges, co-pays, and payments in EMR; monitor balances and claims.
• Run reports to ensure charges are billed and up to date.
• Monitor daily patient flow and adjust schedules to avoid bottlenecks.
• Communicate wait times and next steps to patients to maintain service quality.
• Coordinate with clinical and optical teams for smooth transitions.
• Support patient retention via follow-up, recall, and reactivation outreach.
