Qualifications

• Knowledge of insurance processes, including verification and authorization requirements.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, patient portals, and office communication tools.
• Strong telephone, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls using approved scripting and aid patients.
• Route clinical questions to physicians or staff; communicate urgent requests.
• Return all phone calls within one business day; address urgent calls immediately.
• Provide accurate messages to staff and refer patients as needed.
• Register new patients using iHealth task list and verify demographics & insurance.
• Assess insurance requirements prior to scheduling.
• Schedule appointments and provide directions and pre-appointment instructions.
• Collect payments due at time of service.
• Open or closing duties depending on schedule.
