Job summary

TriHealth's Good Samaritan Hospital is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator/Medical Assistant to manage scheduling requests, appointments and tests, and maintain medical records across departments. You will coordinate participant flow at three sites and assist physicians during examinations, ensuring a smooth patient experience.

Ideal candidates have a High School Healthcare degree, clerical skills, and medical office experience; EKG, injections, and venipuncture are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Degree in Healthcare.
• Clerical background with general computer skills and knowledge in medical terminology.
• EKG, Injections, Venipuncture; CLIA guidelines experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedules participants for specialist and routine appointments for internal and external providers.
• Coordinates scheduling within multiple departments at three sites.
• Follows scheduling procedures and completes paperwork accurately and timely.
• Communicates with customers, transportation and other departments.
• Demonstrates strong customer service and professional judgement in phone and in-person interactions.
• Answers phone calls promptly and relays messages to the appropriate person.
• Maintains organization of participant appointments/tests/procedures for a smooth process.
• Ensures medical records are retrieved from outside providers and forwarded to Records.
