Job summary

LUX Infusion in Totowa, NJ is seeking a Patient Support Specialist to join our clinician-led team and help patients navigate infusion therapies. This role focuses on refill coordination, patient communication, and regulatory compliance to keep therapies on track.

You'll collaborate with pharmacists and care teams, manage documentation, and uphold HIPAA and state regulations while delivering compassionate, patient-first service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Pharmacy Technician registration and/or certification (or commitment to obtain within 60 days).
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.
• Experience with data entry, healthcare systems, and medical terminology.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and related technology platforms.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate prescription refills, outreach, and documentation for specialty or infusion therapy.
• Communicate with patients and providers to gather information, labs, and renewals.
• Submit insurance re-authorizations and prior authorizations to prevent delays.
• Ensure regulatory compliance by screening questions and escalating to a pharmacist.
• Maintain accurate patient records, demographics, and insurance documentation.
• Collaborate with pharmacy operations to support timely dispensing and refill coordination.
• Adhere to state Board of Pharmacy regulations, HIPAA, and applicable laws.
• Identify opportunities to improve patient support workflows while maintaining high standards of accuracy and service.
