Job summary

Ciena Healthcare in Carson City, NV is seeking a courteous Receptionist to greet visitors, answer phones, and provide clerical support to staff. You will maintain patient listings and direct walk-ins to the electronic application process, while ensuring sign-in/out by visitors, vendors, and residents.

You’ll also support the Administrator, uphold confidentiality, and follow emergency procedures as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience with EMR systems, strong organizational skills,

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare front-desk or receptionist role preferred.
• Experience with computerized records systems preferred.
• Demonstrates confidentiality and respectful patient interactions.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming and direct calls.
• Greet and direct visitors and family members.
• Maintain current patient listings to direct visitors and calls.
• Direct walk-in applicants to electronic application process.
• Organize work to be addressed by receptionist on other shifts.
• Ensure vendors and visitors sign in and out.
• Ensure residents sign in and out of the facility.
• Provide clerical support for the Administrator and staff.
• Adhere to confidentiality requirements.
• Announce emergency codes and instructions over PA system as required.
• Enter demographic information into EMR as directed.
• Demonstrate respect for residents’ rights and dignity.
• Know emergency and disaster procedures.
• Demonstrate teamwork and responsiveness to residents’ needs.
