Job summary

SSM Health DePaul Hospital - St. Louis is hiring for a full-time day-shift patient care role. You will assist in nursing care under RN supervision, handling routine assignments, documentation, and patient comfort.

Responsibilities include data collection for admissions, communicating changes to the nurse, stocking supplies, and supporting clerical tasks. The role supports discharge prep and outpatient referrals while ensuring safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Missouri CNA license or equivalent approved nursing pathway.
• Experience as Nurse Assistant, EMT, Surgical Technician, PCT or Behavioral Health Technician.
• Enrollment in a Nursing program with Fundamentals of Nursing completion.

Responsibilities

• Receives patient care assignment from the RN in charge and initiates delegated tasks.
• Collects and documents data for admission assessment, reassessment or appointments.
• Inform licensed nurse of changes in patient condition or education needs.
• Stock and maintain supplies and equipment keeping patient care needs in mind.
• Assist with clerical duties such as answering phones, charting, and order transcription.
• In inpatient settings assist with ADLs, vital signs, and patient comfort; prepare for discharge.
