Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support our day-shift outpatient team. As a key member, you will prepare patients for visits, escort them to treatment rooms, and document essential information in the medical record.

You will also handle patient calls and correspondence, organize duties to boost efficiency, and contribute to positive patient outcomes with accurate clerical support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 1 to 2 years' experience in a medical office/hospital setting involving medical assisting and direct patient care
• Medical Assistant certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for office visits
• Performs tasks including escorting patient to treatment room, obtaining pertinent patient information for medical record, and documenting information in patients’ chart
• Processes patient telephone calls and correspondence for the practice
• Organizes and prioritizes duties to optimize efficiency and promote positive patient outcomes. Scribes information on a regular basis
