Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Enfield Primary Care Center. This full-time, day-shift role involves coordinating patient flow, preparing patients for visits, escorting them to treatment rooms, and documenting information in medical records.

You will also take vital signs, assist physicians as a scribe, and support front-office staff to ensure timely patient care. A high school diploma is required, with 6 months of related experience preferred; an Associate’s

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of six (6) months of related work experience.
• Knowledge of medical assisting typically associated with an Associate’s Degree in Medical Assistance; National Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares exam and treatment rooms.
• Prepares patients for examination and treatment.
• Ensures patient is given appropriate clothing for exam or minor procedures.
• Obtains pertinent history and enters in medical records (chief complaint, history, allergies, medications, ROS).
• Documents patient vital signs.
• Acts as a scribe between patient and physician in treatment rooms.
• Processes and files lab/diagnostic results and clinical notes after physician review.
• Ensures accurate documentation in patient records and notifies providers of results.
• Coordinates patient flow in the office.
• Collaborates with receptionist to ensure timely, efficient patient visits.
• Assists front office by answering calls, scheduling appointments, and other tasks.
